Why this petition matters

Started by Carol Robson

Interstate students have had to endure a long separation from family - particularly those in Victoria. Many are struggling to obtain G2G passes to return home to WA in the first instance. Then they are expected to pay for hotel quarantine upon return. Please can we change the system so that they are covered by an exemption to obtain a G2G pass to return home following a negative COVID test. Furthermore, can they then have an exemption to quarantine at home with a family member rather than two weeks of solitary confinement in a hotel and a bill for $3000. Our interstate students deserve to know that we care and are being treated with compassion.
