Sarah Solich started this petition to Mark McGowan

Dear Mr McGowan,

Due to extensive fear in the community that supermarkets will 'run out of stock' in light of the Corona-virus panic, we are seeing the emptying of shelves in every supermarket with major bulk buying in toiletries, baby hygiene items, even imperishable foods and pain medications. This is causing extreme distress among the community who are unable to meet the needs of themselves as individuals and families. In this event, we have also seen supermarkets putting prices up on items being heavily sold.

I propose the suggestion of ensuring supermarkets regulate the purchasing of all daily living items and limiting their ability to capitalize on the hysteria purchasing, in order for the community to meet their daily living needs as specified in Article 25 of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights which states that 'Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family...' In this instance, you will find a lot of families and individuals, including my family, myself as an individual and my fellow community members have all been affected by the community panic and do not have an adequate standard of living due to this phenomenon.

Please consider my suggestion so not only the people of Western Australia can be at ease of living, but the country as a whole.

Thank you.
