Due to the spread and fear of COVID-19, many of our end-of-year Senior Class events are likely to be canceled at Stonington High School. As a member of the Class of 2020, I am likely to miss my Senior Prom and Graduation Party. Other than that, we are likely missing out on the final months that we are will share as high schoolers. In this unfortunate time, we are asking that the end of year Senior Project meet the same end as our other events. It is unfair to expect that students continue with the Senior Project while also trying to navigate the untested methods of distance learning and studying for AP tests without as much teacher exposure. 

I am asking today that you sign our petition to provide us with relief in an increasingly uncertain and disappointing time. I personally have had to deal with this virus in unfortunate ways, working increased hours and having my visit to my prospective university be canceled. Signing this petition would not only provide a sigh of relief to myself but the amazing students that I have shared four years of high school with.
