Pima County...Fix Our Roads !

Pima County Gas tax (HURF) and Vehicle License Tax (VLT) Revenues aren't getting to the roads in Pima County. This is obvious to the residents and we are now in a desperate situation due to the impact on our home values and any hopes of attracting businesses and families to this county.  This petition has been started to send a message to all members of the Arizona  State legislature and  Governor Ducey that WE, the people of Pima County, are demanding reform of the statutes to ensure these monies are used for road repairs.   We are demanding that at least the statutes be changed to ensure 100% of these monies are allocated directly to road repairs...NOT salaries and overhead.

In fiscal year 2017 (ended June 30, 2017)  unincorporated  Pima County received $85 million dollars in HURF and VLT Revenues.  Of this amount, $42 million is used to fund salaries and overhead for the approximately 300 employees in the Department of Transportation.  In addition, $27 million goes directly to the County general fund and is NOT used for roads.

We demand reform and We will demand ANSWERS from our Elected Officials!
