Keep Hungry Valley NV Open to OHV Trail Riding

This petition had 903 supporters

The residents of Reno, Sparks, Spanish Springs, and other areas of NV and California would like to keep the trails of Hungry Valley OPEN to off highway vehicle (OHV) recreational riding.  We understand the complaints of the Reno Sparks Indian Colony involving illegal dumping, recreational shooting, alcohol abuse, and other issues.  We feel that if the land is respected to the standards of the Reno Sparks Indian Colony, there should be NO reason we should NOT be allowed to use the 100s of miles of trails Hungry Valley had for recreational use.

The Hungry Valley trails are some of the best in Northern NV, are right in most of our back yards, and are easily accessible.  They are a major reason Northern Nevada residents have moved to the area.  We feel that if this land is not available, not only does this affect our recreation in the area, it may also affect our property values.  If all we leave behind are tire tracks in the dirt, we're not hurting anything.

We would like our state representatives to fight for our right to share the land responsibly and respectfully.  The residents of the Reno, Sparks, Spanish Springs and other areas would be grateful of the Indian colony to let us continue to enjoy the beauty and recreation Hungry Valley NV has to offer.

Thank you very much!
