Marissa Alexander faces 20 years in prison for Standing Her Ground. Her husband beat her while she was pregnant. After yet another beating, Alexander fired a warning shot into the ceiling. That shot saved her life but Prosecutor Angela Corey did not take into account that Marissa Alexander had a court injunction against her crazed husband, She had given birth 9 Days prior to a per-mature baby, was trained to use a weapon and earned a concealed weapons permit. Her husband has a violent history of abusing her. The stand your ground law should have protected her in this instance, as she suffered a horrific domestic violence attack. She has been incarcerated for the past 2 yrs. We are calling for the immediate dismissal of charges, and Ms. Alexander to be freed immediately. This is a racially charged case, which is sexist and biased as it relates to domestic violence and black women in particular. Please join us in our campaign to free Ms. Alexander by signing our petition. We want "One Million Signatures" to present to Rep Corrine Brown, Florida Representative to provide the fire power we need to pressure for her release. Please help now.
