Regaining Female Representation in Leadership Roles

Regaining Female Representation in Leadership Roles
We want women to have equal representation in Australian leadership roles!
Women make up half of Australia's population, yet they are severely underrepresented in leadership positions in Australia.
In 2019-2020 women comprise only:
-32.5% of key management positions
-28.1% of directors
-18.3% of CEOs
-14.6% of board directors
Extra facts:
-30.2% of boards and governing bodies have no female directors
-By contrast, only 0.4% had no male directors
These numbers are a disgrace and are insulting to the women of Australia.
However, there is a solution. We want a quotas system to be enforced for this issue. It will introduce a mandatory goal of ensuring 50% of Australian senior leadership roles belong to women, by 2050.
If this petition receives at least 500 signatures, it will be sent to the Minister for Women, Marise Payne. Whereby, she will take this suggestion into consideration and hopefully take action.
If this issue isn't solved now, then it will never be fixed. Only with equal numbers of men and women in top positions can we work together to build a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.
