Reviving the Merriman Valley with a train depot would create foot traffic, improve business by filling vacancies and creating jobs, generate tax dollars, increase property values.  The Merriman Valley is cradled between the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Summit Metro Parks. The Cuyahoga River and the Towpath run through the Merriman Valley, therefore, the Valley has the opportunity to attract bikers, runners, kayakers, hikers and walkers. The National Park attracts over 2 million visitors a year and is the 10th most visited in the United States.  The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad runs through the heart of the Merriman Valley and it is vital the train has a depot there in helping the revival of this beautiful landscape.
