Bus stop/sidewalk on Hadley Lane

Children that attend Marrietta Middle School are technically required to walk to school if they live within the 2 mile range. Many children live just inside this range because they reside within the apartment complex on other side of Hadley Lane. Hadley Lane is a dangerous threat to any children that must walk to school. It has a curvy road without a sidewalk on either side, surrounded by wooded area (with wildlife). People are known to speed over the 25 mph on this road (most drive at around 35-40mph) and in the mornings visual is limited during the majority of the school year, especially after daylight savings time when it is still dark when children must leave for school. It is completely unsafe for children to walk this road in conditions when sight is clear. Buses run pickup for children that obtain IEPs through the school, however will not allow other children that do not posess IEPs to ride. I propose that the city make a bus stop for the children at the other side of Hadley and within Colonial Terrace apts, or at Dawes circle for safety reason until the possibility is made for a sidewalk that runs through Hadley Lane. For technicality it is about 1.2 - 1.5 miles for children to walk to school from the other side of Hadley Lane.
