Hold the City of Glendale Accountable

We, petition the City of Glendale to halt all further construction at 3310 Vickers Drive after yet another drastic violation of the approved plans for this project until such time that concerns are publicly addressed and agreed upon with all local concerned residents through a Design Review Board Hearing and Open Forum.

It is obvious and quite evident that the house is much larger and taller than the plans and drawings approved by the Design Review Board on January 26th, 2017 thereby having a negative impact on surrounding neighbors in regards aesthetics, privacy and quiet enjoyment. We strongly oppose the  excessive mass and scale and now disproportionate style of the project as well as the loss of privacy to surrounding neighbors.

We ask that the project be corrected to the extent that the foundation be lowered and the slightly above grade elevation that we all agreed to and was approved to be constructed. We further ask that the disproportionate walls and pitch of roof also be corrected so as to reflect what was depicted on the plans and in the renderings offered to the public for approval.

The design and structure that was approved and depicted to neighbors is not what is being built.
Printed on every page of the building plan it states:

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS OF THE JOB BEFORE STARTING CONSTRUCTION AND THE OWNER, DESIGNER OR ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY DISCREPANCIES IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT SCALE DIMENSIONS WHERE NO DIMENSIONS ARE PROVIDED.
PLEASE CONSULT WITH OWNER,DESIGNER OR ENGINEER FOR CLARIFICATION BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.

Because this is ignored and not followed should not be to the detriment of neighbors.
We strongly feel that construction guidelines and rules set forth by the City of Glendale need to be followed by all.
