The Town Of Louisville firearms discharge ordinance seeks to ban all shooting:

Within 300 feet of ANY road (even if shooting direction is AWAY from the road).

Within 300 feet of ANY structure.

Within 300 feet of the PROPERTY BOUNDARY of any church, school, day care, park, recreation         area,  and the ENTIRE LAKE AREA.

Existing Tennessee law already governs safe shooting distance from roads and structures, negligent or dangerous discharge of firearms, and hunting or shooting on, from, or near a road.

The Louisville firearms discharge ordinance is therefore UNNECESSARY.

This ordinance is not designed to promote shooting safety.

It is designed to deny as many people as possible the right to shoot their guns on their own property.  This ordinance is not actually about safety, it is about noise complaints from a very small number of people.

Do not let a few well connected people that don’t like guns take away your rights!

Do not let your local government cater to the wishes of a few over the rights of the many.
