I have been waiting to enter Canada to start my IEC working holiday visa since 2020 and now my invitation letter is due to expire in 3 days. I my country has just come out of its 3rd lockdown, however since the government restrictions require us to have a valid job offer to enter Canada on this visa, this is not possible. I have not been able to enter and employers have not given a thought to offering a job or interview since I'm not even in Canada and many Canadians are struggling too I'm sure. The likelihood of obtaining a job offer for us IEC invitation holders is very slim and until the border restrictions are eased or exceptions are made, we cannot enter. I had planned to move to Canada in 2020 and had planned this earlier 2019. Now it's been nearly 2 years and this opportunity will be taken away from me due to the expiry of the invitation letter and the pandemic. Please make exceptions for those who's invitation letters have expired during this pandmic. Particularly as I've been asking for an extension and provided all valid evidence of being unable to enter do to the lockdowns and border restrictions.

Since i’ve been in canada, I’ve been sat indoors. This is so not fair!

I arrived just before covid and now my once in a lifetime “International Experience Canada” visa is more like International No Experience Canada.

Because it’s unfair on the people who can’t be in Canada while there visas are running out of time

My daughter returned to NZ on advice from the NZ Govt when Covid happened but she would dearly love to return to her travels and her job in Canada before her working visa runs out

People who work these visas provide a massive contribution of effort to an amazing country and both parties will be negatively effected through no fault of their own should this extension not occur.
