Why this petition matters

Started by Jason Krever

My name is Jason Krever. I am a 9-year resident of Mansfield Township living on Longwood Lane.  I represent a number of families in our community that are very concerned about the recent explosion of warehouse projects all around us.  Right now there are three sites active or under development, with three more site inquiries in consideration.  That is potentially six massive development sites (so far) in a Township of only 8500 residents and 20 sq miles of land.  Some of these developers are being provided with special tax incentives while township residents endure the burdens.  These warehouses are a major demand on our municipal services and natural resources, and they are changing the way of life in our quiet community.  There are numerous negative financial, traffic, safety and environmental impacts of these sites that continue to worsen over time.  Additionally, as home values are impacted there are no meaningful improvements to our infrastructure or any sort of relief from our nation leading high tax rates.

Please make your voice heard and join us by signing this petition.  Demand that our Mayor, our Township Committee and our Joint Land Use Board update our township master plan to be consistent with our vision for a natural, peaceful, family friendly Mansfield way of life, and that zoning ordinances are addressed immediately to cease any further expansions of these unwelcome warehouse projects.  Stop warehouse development in Mansfield Township!
