The responsibility of the school system is to provide our children with the best possible education to succeed in life. The responsibility of parents is to decide the best health and safety measures for our children.

Our children continue to needlessly bear the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this petition is to voice our opinion as parents to keep a choice for a mask-optional environment for all indoor and outdoor settings. We have all read the various studies for and against masks. After the readings and reflection on this past year and a half, we feel that it is in the best interest of our children to return to school as mask-optional. We have to be the voice for our children or this may never end.
