Pat Brown started this petition to mansfield distric council

We are fed up of all our local green areas used by children, dog walkers and wildlife been taken by the Council for building land.

How many of you like me spent hours playing on your local wreck and would like your kids to be able to do the same.

We are constantly told we don’t spend enough time outdoors, exercising and our children just sit in front of screens all day.

Do we really need to have to get in our cars to access areas to play and exercise dogs? Why can’t we have local areas planned for? What’s better than taking the dog out as a family or having a kick about with your mates or your dad.

These areas are disappearing so fast and the few remaining areas especially around Ladybrook area are due to be built on.

The area I take my dogs walking has hedgehogs, bats, rabbits, wild flowers, bees and many kinds of birds.

I don’t want to go down in history as the generation that destroyed the natural habitat of all these creatures and want my grandchildren to know what running on a field feels like and the wildlife that needs this space should be looked after. I don’t want to live in a concrete jungle.

Let’s have some feel good spaces left where kids can interact, dogs can play, and people can meet and chat. Some of the people I see when out never speak to another person all day.

Please share and sign this petition and let’s keep some places for all to enjoy
