The current plan by MPI to divert 113 million dollars of excess revenue to pay for expenses at DVL, contravenes parts of the MPI Act and the terms of the Capital management plan, the rules governing the use of excess revenue negotiated and approved by the Public Utilities Board in 2019.

The excess 113 million dollars needs to be returned to Manitoba drivers in the form of rebates or rate reductions as per the current rules. 

Manitoba drivers work hard for their money and do not appreciate covert decisions being made that take away what is rightfully theirs, their families and their children.

We demand an immediate reversal of the Government's approval of this plan and assurances that the terms of the Capital Management Plan be fully respected and followed.
