Since 2020, the San Pableño youth has consistently taken proactive steps to elevate youth participation in the different democratic processes, issue-based programs, and even government-led campaigns in San Pablo City. However, sustainable systemic support for various youth-led programs and campaigns remains to be sought by the local youth sector from the local leaders of the city. As the primary organization that promotes the advocacies of the youth and protects their welfare for a more progressive tomorrow, we believe that it is high time for the San Pableño youth to assert its power and agenda in this coming elections and seek greater accountability from its next set of community leaders and policymakers after the #Halalan2022. 

The Sa Kabataan Ang Bukas 2022: The San Pablo Youth Agenda is the first youth-led initiative in San Pablo City that aims to give power to the voice of the youth in lobbying their concerns and suggestions to the city’s leaders and improve the youth development efforts and services for the local youth sector of San Pablo City. This shall serve as the guide of each local political candidate in formulating their policies and engaging with the San Pableño youth after the #Halalan2022. 

We, the San Pableño youth:

1. Demand for a responsive, inclusive, and participative local governance that recognizes our right to dignity and the essence of participating in all local democratic spaces, and commits to supporting the Local Youth Development Plan and other youth-led initiatives, policies, and campaigns.
2. Call for the protection of our welfare and the promotion of our right to live in a safe and healthy community free from abuse, harassment, and neglect by urgently passing the San Pablo Youth Code and all policies relevant to establishing safer spaces for the youth.
3. Demand for an equal and fair representation in all policymaking activities, democratic processes, and institutions that work to promote the welfare and rights of the San Pableño youth by strengthening the capacities of our Sangguniang Kabataan and empowering the Katipunan ng Kabataan and all sectors of the youth.
4. Call for the establishment of inclusive and enabling youth facilities and mechanisms that shall provide equitable and beneficial services and opportunities for the youth relevant to the promotion of quality education, accessible healthcare and livelihood programs, and advocacies alike.
5. Appeal to the entire citizenry and the local government unit of San Pablo City to support and respond to the San Pablo Youth Agenda and the future of campaigns of the youth and for the youth.
