Manhattan College has shut down as of 3/9/2020 due to the pandemic COVID-19. Most professors have switched to online lectures or have left us completely to our own devices to teach ourselves based off of textbook readings and homework’s. The bulk of our course work has not slowed down and many professors have taken it upon themselves to not take any excuses. My goal is to make all classes pass/fail for the Spring 2020 semester to give all Manhattan College students a fair chance at protecting their GPA from suffering the consequences of mass hysteria during this pandemic. Many students are not able to travel home due to fear they will not be able to return if classes resume, so they are left on campus alone to deal with this. The students that have been able to go home are studying as best they can and trying to balance a home life and their course work. We all love our college and no one has ever been through something like this so I feel like this amount of leniency should be awarded to the students and faculty involved.
