An astonishing 145 animals were brought to the Bloemfontein SPCA during and after New years. Many animals died of heart attacks after fireworks were shot. Lots of animals ran away and left their distraught owners trying to find them. A lot of animals never found their owners again. Then, we forget to mention the bird species that are scared off from their nests, leaving orphaned young birds in their nests all alone. Others, dying due to heart attacks or smoke inhilation.

Lets stop this cruel recreational practice. Lets save the animals and care for them like we should.
