Create equal rights for married son and daughter to look after parents after marriage

At this time, when everyone talking about the campaign "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao", anyone is hardly talking about the underlying reason why parent in many parts of India still prefer a male child over a daughter, knowing that son and daughters are equally capable.
Parents of a son enjoy the prevelige of safety, security and care, whether they need it or not. A son hardly leaves his parental home, and even if he does, the choice of his parents to move in with him is unquestionable, whereas a daughter is made to leave her parents immediately after marriage. She loses the right to attend to her parents even when they need her. Aged or ailing parents moving in with their married daughter is something that hardly happens.
All these happens in the name of age old societal norms and customs. Do you still feel that this is justified? And do you feel we are truely enjoying equal rights? If not, please sign this petition and also pass on to others. Let's make it possible that a married daughter can look after her parents with all the dignity, and without anyone's mercy. Let's join hands. Let's make this happen.
