Why this petition matters

Started by Kelly Dudley

IT IS OK! TO NOT BE OK!

I don’t know about anyone else but I think there is a need for mandatory mental health classes within secondary schools.

Children/adolescents are suffering with mental health and can often feel isolated and alone, if mandatory mental health education were provided within secondary schools, then this would educate on autism, eating disorders, depression, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, suicide, self harm & many more, also implementing learning coping mechanisms and ways to get further help.

Statistics show that:

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some form each year in England (Mind, 2021).

1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (like anxiety and depression) in any given week in England (Mind, 2021).

Please support my petition and help save lives.
