The legal requirement to wear a face covering no longer applies. However, the government suggests that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with people you do not normally meet. 

I am disabled and very vulnerable to covid as I have an autoimmune condition and two other health conditions.

I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in July 2022, it took 15 months for me to get the diagnosis, it was quick  but it can take up to ten years to get a diagnosis. It is a long-term condition in which the spine and other areas of the body become very inflamed.

I will be on immunosuppressants soon to suppress the inflammation.

These are long term injections and affect my immune system, this puts me and people who have Immune health conditions at higher-risk for potential COVID-19 complications.

I always wear masks inside places that myself and my husband visit.

Weeks ago I had to be taken by ambulance to an Emergency Hospital, I didn’t know at the time i had covid as due to my disability’s , I was extremely careful, but i had to visit Hospitals and Doctors Surgery’s  with no restrictions in place.

People at the hospital were coughing, sneezing everywhere the vulnerable, elderly and disabled are left to sit in these settings without even staff not wearing Face masks.

Covid is still here it hasn't gone away, we need to protect the disabled, vulnerable and elderly and keep them safe. 

Hospitals and Doctors surgery’s should be a very safe and caring environment for the vulnerable, but we are exposed to death or serious illness just by going there.

The government has the right to change the law back to make mandatory face masks in all our Hospitals and Doctors surgery's  so it’s a safe environment and secure place to go when we need treatment.

Why do some hospital trusts and doctors surgery’s have a mask policy in place,and others like Northumberland don’t have one, it makes no sense at all.

This campaign means a lot to me, the more support we can get behind it, the better chance we have of succeeding.
