Economic uncertainty is at an all time high in this country and knowing how much money you will potentially be paid is one of the most important pieces of information you can have in order to help yourself in these times.

The City of Dallas has the ability and can mandate pay transparency so that all Dallas workers can make informed decisions about their potential employment. 

Why not Dallas?

Numerous cities and states across the country have started adopting Salary Transparency mandates to benefit its citizens, so we should be asking ourselves “Why not Dallas”.

Imagine never having to look at a job description and wonder how much it pays again!

Pay Transparency is something that workers in Dallas deserve. By mandating employers to disclose the compensation range for any advertised job wether it be an annual salary or hourly rate the City of Dallas will not only be helping to improve the lives of those both entering and currently apart of the City of Dallas's workforce, but promoting equity for them as well!

Data released by PayScale shows that that openly sharing employee salaries could be a top solution to closing the gender pay gap in Dallas.
