Tamale Teaching Hospital is in crisis. The testimonies of people who have recently visited the facility for medical care are very disturbing.

Patients have raised numerous problems with the facility. There has been talk of extortion and unprofessional behavior on the part of some of the staff.

It's troubling to learn that a teaching hospital like TTH, which serves the entire Northern Ghana, has been without a CT Scan for months.

Patients who cannot afford to hire an ambulance to get to Sunyani or Accra for a CT scan are left to die. There are numerous examples to back up our claims.

How did we end up here? How can the hospital's administration be so unconcerned about our health? Isn't it true that they take us for granted?

The Concern Youth of Tamale hopes to gather enough signatures to send a hard copy petition to the management of TTH and all that matters, giving them a two-week deadline to fix the hospital's faulty CT Scan.

If they do not resolve the issue, we will hold a peaceful protest to express our displeasure. Our lives are valuable, and the place where we seek medical attention should not be a death trap for us.
