While many of us are rushing to the shops to stock up on food and other essentials so we can self-isolate, supermarket staff are working hard to restock shelves and deal with a large influx of (potentially infectious) customers, with little or no protection from catching the virus themselves. This is a vital service, but is putting workers and their families at risk.  

Please think about the safety of your staff and take measures to protect them from exposure to the virus. For example:
-provide masks and disposable gloves/hand sanitiser to all staff, especially those on checkouts/counters
-prevent customers from standing close to checkout staff while their shopping is being scanned
-close every other checkout so staff (and customers) are not so close together
-disinfect surfaces regularly - Lidl seem to have started doing this with self-service checkouts already
