I was recently released from federal prison , I am on statuatory release , my offence was a tragic motor vehicle accident and I was charged with criminal negligence. Causing death , I lost my teenage cousin who I loved dearly . I suffer from ptsd from witnessing loved ones die on more than one occasion , I also suffer from bi polar disorder , and have a life lasting brain injury (frontal lobe damage ) . I have been sent back to prison several times during my sentence for minor breaches that inconvenience parole officers , I was assaulted in prison and a attempt on my life was made the day before my most recent release . I am only a few months away from warrant expiry . During my last release I learned I am the father to two young children age 8 and 11, I have a fiancé who I have loved since 10 years old , sadly I learned she has struggled during my incarceration, she has been assaulted and was preyed on by drug dealers who have been supplying her with fentanyl as she is waitlisted for dental surgery put on hold due to COVID pandemic . I am told I am not alloud to have any contact not even phone calls to my fiancé because she had a substance problem , this is causeing me to have severe anxiety amd puts me in a constant state of depression . The parole board is obligated to handle all parolees using the least restrictive measures . I feel this is not happening , public safety is number one priority is there first policy , when I was sent back to prison for associating with my fiancé a active user I was unexpectedly arrested at my hallway house , my fiancé was staying close by in a local motel , when I was arrested I was in the process of getting her into treatment , also it left her alone not knowing what happened to me with no money for our motel bill. This is causing me to feel ashamed to be a Canadian citizen , I would never wish anyone to be in our situation it’s simply evil . We have already had to cancel wedding plans twice because of me being suspended from society . I do not want to break any laws , but I can’t go on with leaving my fiancé in cold blood , please if your reading this please sign my petition to allow me to be with my fiancé .
