Urgent Support for UN Conference Negotiating Nuclear Ban

The world's first horrific blast of atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima, Japan on 6th of August, 1945. At least 150,000 people perished. Three days later another bomb was dropped in Nagasaki, 70,000 killed. Why do we still need nuclear weapons? To protect our country from other nation's nuclear attack? Has possession of nuclear weapons given us a true sense of security or more fear?
From 15th/June to 7th/July, the United Nations Conference in New York is held to negotiate a Legally Binding Instrument to Prohibit Nuclear Weapons, leading towards their Total Elimination. This is an essential negotiation to create universal, legal structures to ban and abolish nuclear weapons which leads the world towards building security policies that do not depend on nuclear weapons.
While more than 120 countries' leaders sat together to negotiate, US not only decided to be absent but it's been trying to force its nuclear NATO allies not to participate. Australia followed US and Japan voted against the prohibition of the weapons!
Time to send our voice "We want Sustainable Peace, not a Fear Based World relying on false security of nuclear weapons." We must hurry, the conference commences in 5 days.
