Iranian parents visa

Dear Mr Turnbull,

I write to you to seek fair treatment for current  Iranian parents visa, (that just has recently changed) as I think it's not fair to treat 'JUST' Irainian Parents with different subclass visa.  Iranian parents visa has changed in term from 3 to 5 years visa reduced to only 3 to 6 months.
It has been happening since 19/06/18 which visa processing office at the Australian Embassy Tehran closed and applications are allocated for deciding to Australian Embassies located in Arabic countries.
While the law is still the same for other visitors, Iranians believe it is a discrimination to not grant 3 or 5 years visa only to Iranian parents.

I believe that it is unfair to punish law abiding citizens just because America and Iran are in the middle of a dispute. I understand that we must support America's decisions but we must also be just and fair to those who have done nothing wrong. I as a proud citizen of Australia think we are a beautiful country and our laws are reasonable and we are safe but then I also believe that some things can change to benefit the people not just so the "big man" feels happy because at the end of the day it is the people who you are looking out for.

warm regards,

Fatemeh Babaei
