Initially, mee is just called "mee"
When Wan Tan is added to mee. It will then, be rightfully called " Wan Tan Mee"
In the recent years, the specific type of mee which are typically used to make "Wan Tan Mee", have in itself, called "Wan Tan Mee". This needs to stop for the following reason ;
1) Redundancy & diffusing of the actual dish " Wan Tan Mee"
2) Wan Tan Mee logically needs to have Wan Tan & Mee
3) Sad people like me who ordered Wan Tan mee only to realise there is no Wan Tan, and arguing with the hawker store owner on why just mee is not called Wan Tan mee.
