Jihad Hasan started this petition to Malaysian government and

Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Malaysia are considered Illegal to stay by law, and these makes them extremely vulnerable and prevented them of having the essential services such as : Adequate health care, Formal education for their children, work right, administrative services ...etc. and when they work illegally they have been abused by their employers (physically, sexually or psychologically) and not given their salaries most of times

we are asking for legalizing their stay by granting special visa or temporary stay permit during their Refugee Status Determination with UNHCR and by this the government would not have to sign or ratify the Refugee convention of 1951 or the protocol of 1967

its a quick and effective move from the government and can be considered win-win deal for all parties
