Cornnelius Nasan started this petition to Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia (Malaysia Registrar of Societies) and

Based on Borneo Post article that published on 1st August 2020, title 'New Gasak party wants to contest in all 82 seats in next state election'; many noticed that the party proposed to use 'Bungai Terung' motif as their party logo.

We would like to call upon everyone who has bungai terung tattoo, Dayak NGOs and friends to write in or to show our protest to the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in objection to the proposed logo made by the GASAK for the benefits of their political agendas.

The Bungai Terung, is the first tattoo a Dayak Iban individual would receive. It symbolises adat bansa Iban. The Bungai Terung is a tattoo which marks the adulthood of an Iban.

My ancestors had the Bungai Terung tattoo, I myself has the Bungai Terung tattoo, and so will my children and their childrens forthcomings. Generation to generation.

The Dayak must put this matter at utmost serious matters as we do not want to put on any political logo as our body tattoo. This is an act of insult to the Iban community.

We must make sure the sacredness and dignity of the iban traditional tattoos are preserve and respected.

Please share this as solidarity and respect to Iban Tattoo.

Bungai Terung is unity not Politics.
