Making a healthier America and how strength training helps
Why this petition matters
There are multiple things we could do to help Americans be more healthy. The main thing I’m going to talk about is strength training and how it can help Americans be healthy.
The healthier people are, the less healthcare is needed which helps the country.
Strength training or resistance training involves the performance of physical exercises which are designed to improve strength and endurance. It is often associated with the use of weights.
Strength Training affects the person training by helping their body in multiple ways. It stresses the bones, which increases bone density, and helps to prevent things like osteoporosis. It helps to manage or lose weight and can increase your metabolism to help burn calories. It can help improve your ability to do everyday things and will help your quality of life be better.
There are different problems that the human body can encounter and strength training is able to help with some of them. If a muscle is too weak then it puts more stress on the tendon connecting it to the bone and can result in tendonitis, strength training helps grow and strengthen the muscle. It also increases the number and diameter of collagen fibrils in tendons to help increase their strength and prevent injury. Most people aren’t very flexible, strength training can help with that. When the body is doing eccentric exercises it lengthens and shortens the muscles, helping them stretch.
Other strength training benefits are: It benefits your balance, coordination, and posture. If you think about it, when your off balance lots of different muscles come into play and are used to help stabilize your body and balance yourself out. With posture, the stronger the muscles are it helps hold the body in place and holds the skeleton in the right place. Strength training elevates the number of endorphins, which lifts energy levels and improves mood. Strength training, along with aerobic exercise, helps improve blood pressure by circulating blood through the body.
These are just some of the many benefits that strength training has on the human body.
Ways to help people be healthier by strength training. Encourage it in schools, whether it’s in gym class or after school. Get a gym membership. There are lots of fitness gyms around, join one and start becoming a healthier person. Buy some equipment that you can use on your own. If you aren’t sure what to get, talk to someone who knows what they’re doing or research online.
