There are many who are currently petitioning for masks to be a choice to be made on the whim of a student. This is not ok. If masks are not mandated people will get hurt and possibly die. people in our community seem to think we are in a bubble, that Leelanau county is uneffected by the novel Corona Virus. This is not the case.  Masks are necessary for keeping everyone safe and healthy and alive. If, masks are not mandated in schools, especially one with so many young and vulnerable students. With enough signatures, we can show the principal and/or superintendent that masks are necessary for the safety of the students and their families. So please help us protect our family, friends, and the people in our community.
