I'm currently a wife of an incarcerated individual and the stories I've begun to hear are really strenuous to my ears. I know we often get that our loved ones deserve what they get, but honestly its very inhumane the treatment they receive behind those walls. I've heard so many horror stories and so many situations that have been covered up by the justice system which is very much Rigged. They are a part of the problem and we become more of the problem because we choose not to say much because of the harm they may cause out loved ones behind those cells. My husband currently is in Attica Correctional Facility and whew I'm beyond enraged at the lack of care they have towards these individuals. Recently they were on lockdown and S.E.R.T came in and destroyed everything (clothing, food, TV's, lamps, medication) etc... There are men that were severely beaten and taken to the box with no medical treatment and currently still no medical treatment as the corrections officers of the facility is refusing that treatment to these individuals because to them, they refused or retaliated against an officer which makes no sense.  If you were locked down and you know you have no one you can trust, why would you want to start with ppl that are dressed as NAZIS and look as if they want to do nothing but assassinate you. I've called and complained to OSI, ALBANY, DOCCS, KATHY HOCHUL, ANTHONY ANNUCCI, AND EVEN NEWS NETWORKS, nothing has been done. Something has to be done so I'm starting this petition to help us help those that we love to get some type of justice. Lack of showers, lack of water, lack of food, lack of communication(family), something has to be done. This is beyond unjustifiable, its beyond inhumane, this is completely disgusting because the tables can turn at any point in time then they will have a cry for help. I refuse to allow this to be not heard yes, you may be scared because of what may happen to your loved ones while in these nasty people care but we have to be the voice and as long as we have a trail of complaints what can they say that we are wrong no we are speaking up and have been. Cameras in these facilities aren't enough we need cameras on their bodies we need to see and hear how these men are being denied and treated as if they are scum and they aren't.
