MakeThe English National Women's Chess Team Selection Procedure Transparent

Dear Chess Friends and Supporters,

For the best of the English girls' and women's chess development, encouragement and motivation, the policy for the selection of the English National Women's Chess Team is vaguely stated and can be easily biased. When the requirements are clearly stated such as how many top players are considered, specific rating period and activity, and what tournaments are taken into account, only then the girls and women will know what is needed from them to meet the qualification requirements in order to have a chance to be selected for the National Team.

The International Selection Committee Members are:

Open Team: Malcolm Pein (Chairman), David Openshaw, Jonathan Parker, Jonathan Speelman

Women Team: Malcolm Pein (Chairman), David Openshaw, Natasha Regan, Jonathan Parker, Jonathan Speelman

On behalf of the English Girls and Women chess players I request that the selection policy procedure must be transparent.

Yours Sincerely,

WFM Miss Meri Grigoryan
