Make Room in The Budget for Mr. Hoyt
Make Room in The Budget for Mr. Hoyt
Mr. Hoyt may have only been a teacher in our school district for 18 months, but in that time he has had the most impact out of any teacher you can think of. Not only does he provide a unique engaging teaching style, but he also is able to get to know his students very well. I, as well as many of my classmates, consider Mr. Hoyt not only a beloved teacher but a friend as well. Getting rid of him would not only be a loss of an amazing teacher, but the district would also be losing many classes that make Belvidere stick out. According to edutopia.org, "Studying psychology could help promote many of the social and emotional learning (SEL) skills that are crucial to students’ academic achievement and mental health." These are classes that we cannot afford to lose and are important in enticing incoming students to go to Belvidere High School. I could provide a near endless list of reasons why he should be kept, and I will,
His dad has been in our district for many years
He teaches important classes
He is young and already has many years in the future planned out for his classes
He knows how to talk to students
He's Intelligent
He's Friendly
He graduated from Belvidere High School
He lives a very convenient distance from the school
He's committed
He is making moves to better our school
He wants whats best for the students and the staff
He needs to stay.
