The last few years have been difficult for many. There was a pandemic, the cost of living is increasing dramatically and England lost in the final of Euro 2020. But after wondering if life will ever be the same again, the release of a new Queen song - Face It Alone - was still able to bring the same old smile and fire up this old dinosaur to realise that there will come a better tomorrow.

The song is excellent. It evokes feelings of melancholy laced throughout with a defiant and inspirational message. It has the aura and gravitas to move a crowd and to steel yourself to walk fearlessly into the mists of Avalon. Most of all, it sounds very Bondesque. 

For these reasons, on a year where we lost Queen Elizabeth, I propose that we give the people something to look forward to with hope, by bringing together two other Great British institutions, Queen and 007.

Face It Alone was built to be a Bond song. It would be way better than Writing's on the Wall and You Know My Name, although Skyfall and No Time to Die were great songs. I understand that production of the next Bond film may already be underway and Face It Alone may not fit with the story or name of the film. If this is the case I believe people would happily accept that it be used for the subsequent film, as long as we get to hear Queen right before Bond rips through bad guys on his way to saving the world. 

Please support this petition and give people a moment that will go down in history alongside the fall of the Berlin wall and Neil Armstrong setting foot on the moon.
