8 years ago was the last appearance of the United States in a World Cup. Since then the team has grown and evolved and achieved qualification to this years 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The US has had some iconic kits grace the world stage but now Nike has given the US a sad excuse of a shirt for the biggest sporting event in the world. While other nations had their kits influenced and inspired by their identity, culture and history, Nike has produced an atrociously simple, boring and lackluster jersey for the tournament. Many players, fans, supporters, coaches and commentators have voiced their displeasure at the jersey and at Nike. By signing this petition you too can join and voice the need for a change to better reflect who we are as a nation. Nike is an American company and should give us something to wear boldy and proudly. We deserve better. So show them that we are more than just a white shirt. Show them we are Red, White, and Blue. Show them WE are The United States of America.
