This petition request is an attempt to reduce the amount of mass shooting by making mass shootings with a military style assault weapon a war crime.

Gun owners who purchase military style assault weapons (weapons with the capacity to hurt, severely wound, or murder the civilian population in numbers larger than 10 people without having to reload) who purchase these style of lethal weapons, claiming the need to defend themselves against a tyrannical government, but use them instead to murder innocent citizens and children, should be treated as war criminals and have their citizenship stripped from the (even post-mortem). Congress (both houses) and state Legislatures seem unable or unwilling to enact stricter gun laws.

While there are those gun owners who refuse to support any type of gun legislation, this bill would directly impact those who commit mass shooting rather than law owners of firearms.

Parents of under-age children who commit mass shooting may not be protected by this bill. Should parents or adults who fail to follow basic firearm safety and safety procedures may also be in jeopardy of loosing their citizenship.

This is a small step towards reducing gun violence in America. Punish the wicked for their irresponsible behavior by stripping convicted mass shooters of their rights and benefits as an American citizen.
