Many other schools include free laundry with residence on campus and this should not exclude Rowan University. It costs between $9,084-$11,392 per year to live in freshman residence halls and between $9,508- $12,386 to live in upperclassmen housing on top of tuition and other expenses. These room and board costs should include laundry. 

Forcing students to pick between a meal and clean clothes is utterly unacceptable. Free laundry would increase campus cleanliness, personal health, and overall quality of life for those who rely on the campus laundry rooms to clean their clothes. 

With higher gas prices, a coin shortage, and inflation among other expenses college students encounter throughout their daily lives, Rowan University should aid students in every way they can. There is no need to profit from our need to have clean clothes. Make laundry at Rowan University free!
