Why this petition matters

Access Denied is Equality Denied! Mayor, Install a Lift at Kentish Town Station!

The Mayor of London and TFL are shutting down Kentish Town tube for one year to carry out repairs on the escalators, but they are neglecting to install a lift, meaning the station will remain inaccessible to many Disabled people

Missing this opportunity to make Kentish Town step-free is an outrage.

The message from the Mayor's Office and TFL is clear – Disabled people don’t matter.

We cannot continue to normalise decisions which push Disabled people to the back of the queue.

Disabled people’s rights are human rights.

This decision affects so many of us including parents with buggies and older people too – remembering of course that Disabled people are also part of these groups.

If you share our concern about this act of exclusion, please sign this petition/go to Camden Disability Action’s website and sign the petition calling the Mayor to install a lift at Kentish Town tube.
