We need a pedestrian crossing

We, the undersigned, call upon Nottinghamshire County Council to install a Pedestrian Crossing on Alford Road in Edwalton. This crossing would allow safe crossing for residents to the Alford Road playground, and to the bus stop, across a busy road connecting Edwalton with West Bridgford.
We believe the crossing should be between Spinney Close and Lutterell Way, allowing elderly residents and children especially, to cross the road safely. Alford Road Playing Field supports many sporting clubs and organisations and features a playground for young children and families. Alford Road is also a busy thoroughfare for rush-hour commuter traffic, learner drivers and bus routes to the city centre and West Bridgford.
Local Councillor Jonathan Wheeler supports this petition which is being organised by local residents from the Alford Road neighbourhood. Thank you for your interest in the campaign. We hope you will join us in signing the petition to make Alford Road a safer place for everyone who uses it.
