In today's world, we need to be independent of other countries for our energy, and our energy needs to be sustainable, and 'green'.

I can look out of my window, and see about twenty new houses being built. I believe maybe three of them have solar panels.

It has to be much more economical to install solar panels to all new buildings (unless there are special reasons not to). No scaffolding, as it is already in place, a guaranteed production figure for the manufacturers, and workers already on site.

The result would be that all new construction would have a reduced reliance on the national grid, and if enough panels are fitted, energy fed to the grid.

Additionally, the long term saving in energy reliance would make this a scheme deserving of government subsidisation,
