Most have  heard about the horrible tragedy that occurred on Hosley Avenue on Thursday  April 28th 2022 . The crash claimed the lives of all three individuals in the vehicle. Brothers Anthony Dudchik, age 19, of East Haddam and Robert Dudchik, age 22, of East Haven along with Megan Povilaitis, age 17, of East Haven.

The conditions of Hosley Ave. have been unsafe for  years. The many potholes combined with speeding have caused several severe accidents on this road Including numerous rollover accidents and ejections from vehicles . It is time for  the people of Branford to come together and demand safety measures be put into place to protect our current residents and generations to come.  We must act now we cannot sit idly and allow another tragedy to occur in our beautiful town.

We’re asking the town of Branford to re-pave the entire road, install lighting, radar speed signs, and speed bumps/humps. We would also like for the town to have the area patrolled by police more frequently as their presence would not only deter speeding motorists but also lead to quicker response times in the event of any future accidents.
