Any medical procedure done in a US facility or provider office, a patient has no idea the cost is to them until after the service is completed and billing starts. This allows healthcare companies to charge outrageous prices without easy accountability and diminishes anyone's ability to compare prices.  They should be required to publish a price list on their website and office like any other business.  They say they do not know their own prices due to it being different for different insurance plans. There are ways to publish prices even if it differs for everyone. At the very least, they should have to publish prices without insurance so that consumers can get a glimpse of information to educate ourselves on the best care we can afford.  Why are our healthcare providers and facilities be allowed to act like dictators and monopolies with their ability to control prices and make outrageous profits on the backs of working people?
