Students at the University of Texas at Austin are currently not given adequate time off to participate in their utmost important civic duty. All employees of the University are granted time off within Texas Election Laws, yet this does not extend to students.

By giving both faculty and students off by making election day a holiday every 2 years, this mobilizes the importance of the youth vote.
