Eid-Al-Fitr and Eid-Al-Adha are two very important celebrations in Islam. Eid-Al-Fitr signifies the ending of Ramadan, a month where muslims fast from dawn to dusk. Eid-Al-Adha honors the pilgrimage known as Hajj. These two celebrations are very important to muslims, but many students in Columbia County don’t have to ability to participate in Eid prayer, and spend time with family on these special days, because they have tests and classes they can’t miss.

We ask you to sign this petition to ask the CCBOE to make these two days district holidays allowing students in the Columbia County District to be able to spend these special holidays with family!
