Make coffee pods biodegradable and entirely recyclable

Make coffee pods biodegradable and entirely recyclable
Why this petition matters
Petition to Nespresso's CEO Guillaume Le Cunff and Keurig's CEO Brian Kelley.
Throughout the years, it was observed that the temperature is rising at a dangerous pace; a rise of 1,5 or 2 degrees can have a drastic effect on the Earth. The rise of the temperature leads to seas level rising, extreme weather events, corals reef being bleached and dying, wildfires, and many more. We do not have much time left to change our climate, we need to take action as soon as possible. Every small action matters.
This problem related to coffee pods affects climate change on a large scale and could be easily fixed if the coffee pod producers, especially Keurig and Nespresso would take action by making their pods entirely recyclable and biodegradable. This cause matters to me because I am an excessive coffee drinker and I used to buy a ton of coffee pods which was incredibly bad for the environment and climate change. Those little pods might not look like a threat to the environment because of their size but they are. Yes, it is true Nespresso's pods are completely recyclable. The aluminum and the coffee are separated mechanically to recycle aluminum and compost coffee. However, it takes energy to produce and transport the pods, and when they compost the coffee it produces CO2 and methane emissions which contribute to climate change. As for Keurig, their single-serve coffee cups are not entirely recyclable, only some parts of it. In 2014, if you placed all the Keurig K-cups next to each other, it would be enough to circle the globe 10.5 times.
It is not too late to slow the pace of climate change if we act today. With your help, we can attack this challenge.
