Make Child Care, Safe Care. VOTE YES HB277 - The Child Care Safety Act!

Every child is special and unique, but all children need and deserve the same level of health and safety protections while spending time in child care. In Alabama, nearly one-half of center based child care programs are not licensed or inspected by DHR, which means they are not required to meet Minimum Standards. These include staff criminal background checks, staff-to-child ratios and CPR and First Aid training. A poll conducted shows that 98 percent of Alabamians say YES to basic health and safety standards for our children. We need YOU to join them!

By signing below, I support licensing and inspection of all child care facilities to ensure Alabama’s Minimum Standards for health & safety are upheld.
