In Birmingham streets, there are a lot of homeless people in need of a shelter. For reasons such as having pets, not being able to pay the entry fee or feeling unsafe in the shelters , many are unable to access the shelters around them. As a student, I see and talk to many disadvantaged people living on the streets of Birmingham and I cannot overlook it any longer.

In order to make a difference, we must act now and demand the government take action to help the thousands of homeless people that need a place to stay. 

We cannot wait any longer. We must act now as due to the pandemic, an increase in people becoming homeless has further worsened the homeless situation in cities.
